I took Saoirse out to see a movie downtown (on a school night, no less), just the two of us. We saw Song of the Sea, an Irish animated film whose protagonist was a little girl named Saoirse. She was thrilled. Her first words when we got home, "Dad, they said "Saoirse" like a hundred times!" Also, she humored me for a minute when I just couldn't get over that parking garage light.
